Surftown Munich A-Frame / Staf – Pro

Nachdem unsere Crew mehrere Sessions in der Alaia Bay sowie die Ehre hatte den neuen Surfpark – Surftown Muc – in der A-Frame Session ausgibiebig zu surfen, war reletiv schnell klar, dass wir ein eigens für diese Welle ein Board shapen werden.
Ét voila – der STAF -Pro nahm seinen Lauf.

Wir konzentrierten uns darauf, ein Performance-Surfboard zu schaffen, das unter den Bedingungen in Surftown Munich und der Alaia Bay ausreichend benutzerfreundlich ist, aber denoch ein gewisses Maß an Aggressivität hat, gerade in den turns. Dabei haben wir uns auch auf das Volumen und die Volumenverteilung konzentriert. Beides wurde speziell auf die Bedingungen in Wavepools angepasst.

This Board is designed with all round speed in mind. A performance board for the powerful surfer looking to push hard through turns. A generous continuous rocker with a sligthly flatter exit rocker combined with multiple bottom contours with single into double into vee double off tail creating a fast and responsive performance shortboard for reliable speed and lift. Wider tail block with pronouced hip in outline for easy turning. A medium domed deck and rail, agressive tail shape in bottom for quick transitions and burying the rail.

Surf on rail not on tail!

S-Fiberglass cloth, or simply S-Glass, looks and feels exactly the same as E-fiberglass cloth. However, it is made from a higher-strength glass fabric, which gives it approximately 40% higher tensile strength, and a 20% higher modulus. This fiberglass has a greater strength and abrasion resistance when used as a composite reinforcement. Additionally all of our fiberglass cloth has an aerospace grade silane finish that is compatible with polyester resin, vinylester, and epoxy resins. This finish allows the Fiberglass to have a longer shelf life and also provides a resistance to moisture. So if you are comparison shopping between E-glass and S-Glass materials, this is the superior composite material as far as tensile strength and modulus, but that strength does come with a slightly higher price.
